#The Summer of Musik - Final spurt

Activities for Kids in the Garden

Dear friends of Bahnhof Leisnig,

hard to believe but half the summer of music is already over. So far 14 bands have played on our stage and there have already been 3 events for the children. The market of delicacies was also a huge success and it felt twice as big as last time. Thanks to the new roof in the reception hall, we were able to move everything inside when the weather was bad without too much effort.

Thanks for your feedback!

It always makes us happy to see that our guests actually do come from near and far and that people of all ages come to visit us. That was exactly what we wanted from the start. Of course, we are also happy about all the positive feedback about our project, the gastronomy and the cultural offer, regardless of whether you tell us about it in a personal conversation or digitally via e-mail or post. Your feedback always encourages us and shows us that we are moving in the right direction. Positive online reviews about the project also really help us, especially on Google  as well reviews about the beer garden on Tripadvisor. We're curious to see what you write : D Thanks a lot for your time!

What's next?

The music summer is not over yet! This Saturday (13.8.) things continue with the great Americana band "Old Salt". This will be followed by two more greats from the folk and jazz scene: "Wild Strings Trio" (20.8.) and "Free Balkan Quintet" (2.9.). For those of you who haven't been able to attend a concert this year: check your calendar to see which concerts you can still make. : )

For the children: participation is key!

This and next Sunday (14.8. and 21.8.) from 11:30 a.m. there will be a join-in music workshop for the little ones with Alexander Bäurich, the singer from the Road Brothers. There will be singing together and exploring music together with small percussion instruments and ukuleles. All children are welcome. No previous knowledge required.

Also this Sunday at 1 pm, things will continue with the Buki Bus, the mobile printing workshop for children. Here, children can tell their stories and create beautiful pictures to go with them.

For all children who have always wanted to design and build their own playground, there is a crafts event with Klaus and Roswitha from 22 to 27 August. Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. they will be there for the children. Anything is possible, from small constructions, climbing and balancing devices to sound instruments. Plenty of materials and tools are provided. You only have to provide your own food.

AND: on 4.9. at 11:30 a.m. the Crocodile Trio will be performing. This is another opportunity for children to join in the music-making!

And now, please welcome on stage... you!

During the week we have started to organise the so-called 'Open Stage'. Here, anyone who wants to can have the stage to themselves for 15 minutes and perform and try out their songs/poems/dances. The next dates are 31.8. and 14.9. We are looking forward to seeing who else will join in!

Well then, see you soon at the station!
