DONATE TO THE ASSOCIATION

The station stood empty for 20 years, was constantly ravaged by vandals and fell into disrepair. Windows were smashed, the roof was leaking and the basement was flooded. Since the end of 2021, we have been renovating the building piece by piece. At that time, we were able to renovate the roof, ceiling and doors of the reception hall thanks to the great support of our first fundraising campaign (see the video below for the appeal for donations).  

2023 was the year in which the renovation of the station really began. A lot has already happened on the construction site:

Old floors in the concert hall, signal box and baggage hall were demolished.

Insulation and underfloor heating have been installed in the concert hall, signal box and baggage hall.

• Heizung für das ganze Erdgeschoss ist installiert.

The toilets on the first floor have been renovated and new sanitary facilities have been installed.

All the roofs over the first floor meeting room have been renovated to be energy-efficient.

Various skylights have been installed in the concert hall, corridor and signal box.

What lies ahead? 

• Refurbishment of the two remaining roof segments

• The façade needs to be repaired and plastered.

- Windows and doors need to be renovated
