Ricardo Herz is a worldwide phenomenon with his violin and is quickly recognized by his individual style. With his instrument, he imitates the snorting of the accordion, the buzzing of the fiddle and the beautiful melodies of traditional and modern choro. His blend of Brazilian and African rhythms with jazz improvisation and contemporary composition has led to international recognition. Herz holds a degree in classical violin from the University of São Paulo.
