#6 Better safe than sorry

Dear friends of Bahnhof Leisnig,

The Official Biergarten Opening will kick off from 11am this Saturday 19th.

This will be the most relaxed and fun gathering we have had since last August. It’s also the official start of the Bahnhofsgarten. With luck, we will be able to offer you regular performances in the summer months ahead!

Andy has some nice goodies lined up in the Biergarten for people to eat and drink. He’s always changing the menu and everything he has come up with so far has been delicious, so we’re looking forward to Saturday!

For this Saturday’s Opening Event only, free Corona testing will take place outside the Biergarten

While the Corona situation has improved, unfortunately regulations are tighter for cultural events. We want everyone to be able to truly relax and enjoy the day without having to think about wearing masks, social distancing, or getting fined.

By law, we are obligated to provide a solution for events, so we will have an easy one-minute saliva testing bus outside the Bahnhof. We avoided swab tests all year, so we were surprised how easy the saliva test is. Your insurance company will pay for up to one test per week so just bring your insurance card or ID). The test is painless, it doesn’t give false positives — so you don’t have to worry about being turned away because of a bad test.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but the risk of getting shut down is too great. Here is the saliva testing website, if you would like more information on how it works. These measures are only legally required for the Saturday 19th cultural event. The Biergarten will work as normal afterwards.

The Music!

We’ve so happy to have eXtraHERB and Jens Lübeck, who offered to play to support the project. So there’ll be a nice mix of pop, rhythm and blues, and saxophone solos. We will also play a few tunes. You can read more on Saturday’s line-up tickets here.

The event is free, so we will place a donation box near the stage, if you would like to show your appreciation for our visiting performers (this will go to our guest performers, not the Bahnhofsband).

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

The Bahnhof Team

PS: The weather for Saturday is looking positive. It may even be the hottest day of the year so far!
