The crowdfunding campaign is running

Dear friends of Bahnhof Leisnig, 

First of all, we would like to say a big thank you to all of you! As you know, our crowdfunding has been running since September ( https://www.startnext.com/en/bahnhof-leisnig) and thanks to you, we are on track for reaching the necessary threshold. We are especially overwhelmed by the many large donations. The campaign will run until 11 November and we are confident that we will reach the first threshold of €50,000 so that we can use the money for the renovation. Every amount helps us, even with many small donations we can reach our goal!

Construction helpers wanted - join us on site!

We have been receiving letters from people who would like to lend a hand with the renovation. This is finally possible and we are looking for people who would like to help with the renovation of the reception hall from 27.10. - 6.12.2021. We start every day at 10:00 and finish at 18:00. 

We need help especially with the restoration of the historic ceiling. The following needs to be done: 

• number the decorative strips from below, remove them, take them down, keep them sorted and refurbish them one by one.
• Scrape off the paint that was painted later on to get the original colour back out 
• paint / oil the new formwork and the new rafters. 
• Put the decorative trims back on 
• Possibly re-plaster the upper wall area where the plaster has come down 
• Clean the glue paint from the upper wall area in order to get to the first colour coating. Possibly re-plaster the upper wall area where the plaster has come down.

Christmas market together with you?

We have decided to organise a Christmas market this year on 11 and 12 December with delicious food, mulled wine, music, arts and crafts and a children's programme. If you would like to be involved with a stall or an artistic performance, please contact us. Maybe we can integrate it in one way or another.
