Dear friends of Bahnhof Leisnig,

Just a week ago, we were afraid that we wouldn't reach the donation threshold of 75,000 euros and that everything that had come in by then would have to be transferred back to the donors by the bank. But on March 30, the stars were aligned and the donations came in one after the other and the threshold was suddenly reached! That was a great relief for us, as the donations were now secured.

Thanks to you, 92,400 euros have been raised within 6 weeks with only 433 supporters! That really is amazing!!! But that's just the financial aspect: what we didn't expect at all were the many lovely messages we received from you, whether in the form of a post or video or a text message or e-mail. It touched our hearts deeply and gave us courage.

What does this crowdfunding success mean now? First of all, that the renovation of the east wing will continue, but also:

No more standstill on the construction site: the east wing can continue to be renovated
Funding can be cleared in time by the end of August
The project remains financially stable
From now on, the station will remain lively even in the cold seasons - with culture, encounters and community

We are also particularly pleased about the many new people in the networkwho became aware of us through the campaign. Welcome to the Bahnhof family!

At this point we also have to thank Marc and Katrin from Significant Pictures for their incredible support with the videos (this one is also from them), without them and their team in Dresden we would never have done this crowdfunding campaign. They have been a real blessing for us.
