The (big) Bahnhof Orchestra

We bought the station in 2020. It was in a desolate state and we first had to clear out the whole building, clean it and putty the windows. At the time, we invited our large international network of musicians to help us. So that the work didn't get too boring, we spontaneously formed an orchestra. Rehearsals always took place during work breaks. In the evenings, we invited people from Leisnig to join us with their instruments or in the choir. Every year in September, 30-40 musicians from all over the world meet at the railway station and teach each other songs from their home countries. For the selection it is important to us that as many different instruments as possible are represented and that everyone can attend all rehearsals and the concert.

The rehearsals will take place in the first week of September and the concert on September 13, 2025. The prerequisite for participation in the orchestra is that you are present at all rehearsals and the concert. 

Participation for ALL regardless of previous musical knowledge. The number of participants is limited to approx. 30 people.
