Welcome to the Kulturbahnhof Leisnig in Saxony, a versatile venue in the idyllic Mulde Valley, not far from Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz.
Im Juli 2020 haben wir, eine kleine Gruppe Freunde, vereint durch unsere Leidenschaft für traditionelle Musik, den ehemals brachliegenden Bahnhof Leisnig gekauft um ihn zu sanieren und einen Ort zu schaffen, wo Musiker aus aller Welt sich kennenlernen und wohlfühlen können. Schon seit dem ersten Sommer organisieren wir über den Kulturbahnhof Leisnig e.V. Konzerte, Musik- und Tanzworkshops, Kulturmärkte und Vieles mehr.

Music is a universal language
From the very beginning, our dream was to create a place where musicians from different countries could come together to share their music.
We offer high-quality cultural events as well as music and dance workshops with well-known artists and lecturers from all over the world.
Through music lessons, workshops and events, we offer musicians and music enthusiasts, whether beginners or professional musicians, a platform and the opportunity to develop their potential.
The station garden | The station bar
In the warmer months, our beer garden offers something tasty for every taste, from vegan falafel plates to station burgers. The bar/café also offers everything your heart desires, from espresso to cocktails.
The station provides a framework for local businesses to offer products and services and creates jobs. The project is sustainably integrated into the local community and beyond and brings added value to the region. The cultural center also creates a space for local cultural initiatives and creative artists in the region.

The contribution that art and culture make to the community is becoming ever more important in times of increasing digitalization and isolation. An environment characterized by appreciation, openness and trust is the fertile ground in which art, creativity and inspiration can grow. This is exactly what the Kulturbahnhof Leisnig is.

Sun May 19 | 19:00 | VILMA TALVITIE (FI)
Vilma Talvitie is a Finnish singer, pianist, performing artist, composer and lyricist. As a composer, Vilma builds musical bridges between pop and folk by combining Nordic and European folk stories with her own compositions influenced by Eastern European vocal techniques. Vilma's first solo album will be released on October 13, 2023.
In several of her projects, Vilma explores the dialog between voice, movement and body. In recent years, she has developed an audio-visually fascinating instrument "PianoBodyPercussion", which combines singing, piano keys, body percussion, drums and dance.
In recent years Vilma has traveled through Europe, Asia, South America and North Africa, collecting songs from local musicians, composing, arranging and performing folk in her project "100 Songs around the World" and working as an artistic mentor in the international Ethno-Global Music Camps.

Eine Inszenierung aus den Freien Darstellenden Künsten
Anlässlich des 12. Sächsischen Theatertreffens öffnet der Kulturbahnhof Leisnig zum ersten Mal seine Türen für die Freien Darstellenden Künste. Erlebe eine herausragende Vorstellung auf der Bühne im Bahnhofsgarten und tauche ein in das Wirken der vielfältigen Freien Szene Sachsens. Neben der Präsentation einer inspirierenden Produktion am Nachmittag wird es auch einmalige Einblicke hinter die Kulissen des Kulturbahnhofs als blühendes Kulturzentrum geben.
Das Programm im Bahnhofsgarten ist Teil des Projekts Stadt. Land. Bus., einer performativ begleiteten Bustour, die zum gemeinsamen Besuch von Bühnen und kulturellen Produktionsorten abseits der Metropolen einlädt. Stadt. Land. Bus. ist ein Projekt der Kooperative Futur Ost – einer Initiative vom Landesverband der Freien Theater in Sachsen e.V., HELLERAU – Europäisches Zentrum der Künste und LOFFT – Das Theater – und wird von der Kulturstiftung des Freistaats Sachsen gefördert.

Cayeye, a dish from the Caribbean based on plantains, is a 10-piece salsa brava band from Berlin. Just as its various ingredients make cayeye a sweet, universally popular dish in northern Colombia, the band plays warm, danceable sounds reminiscent of the music tradition of the 70s in Latin America.
As with the ingredients of the dish, the band also expresses a different blend of flavors: The musicians bring together influences from Europe and America to create a rousing musical experience on stage. The band was formed in early 2022 and plays and improvises to a wide range of Latin American salsa. Cayeye is best enjoyed fresh from the fryer: Live in the club, dancing to classics and original compositions.Come to our verbena (party), bring your chacletas (slippers) and set the floor on fire!

Musik- und Puppenspiel für Klein und Groß
Wolfram Fricke & Freunde spielen tierische Kinderchansons von Hein dem Schwein und seinen Freunden: Das Schwein Hein macht sich auf den Weg, sein Glück zu suchen. Wen er auf seiner Reise kennen lernt, welche Abenteuer er erlebt und ob Hein tatsächlich seinem Glück begegnet? Darüber berichtet diese fröhlich-bunte Liedergeschichte voller Musik und Poesie. Sie erzählt von Verständnis und Toleranz, aber auch von Vorurteilen gegenüber denen, die anders sind.
„Hein das Schwein“ – ein phantasie- und stimmungsvolles Musik- und Puppenspiel zum Zuhören und Mitmachen, zum Lachen und Mitfühlen, naturverbunden, lebensfroh, fabelhaft und nicht nur für kleine Leute.

Überdenk´ ich die Zeit
Ralph Schüller bildet mit seiner stilistisch vielseitigen Band seit vielen Jahren das musikalische Rückgrat unterschiedlicher Projekte der Kulturinitiative Liedertour. Und so begleitet der uneitle Frontmann und wechselnde Gäste den Mastermind des Musiker*innen-Netzwerkes Frank Oberhof auch, wenn dieser im Juni zu seinem 60. Geburtstag mit Liedern und Anekdoten aus nunmehr über 40 Jahren selber noch einmal auf Liedertour und musikalische Zeitreise geht.
